Right now the focus is on posting original pieces and building the site.  But as the site grows, what's in place are 2 competitive challenges and one monthly non-competitive writing exercise, waiting to be started. There are others set up, but those will be introduced at a later date and based on general participation and demand. Updates will be posted in this thread. Stay tuned! |

Here's one update and something I'm seriously considering to keep it fresh. As stated already, there Are other types of challenges set up but to have them all active at once could be overwhelming. This is the reason for the wait. But.... I'm leaning towards rotating them for next quarter perhaps. I'm thinking out loud for now, but I would love to have a couple of different ones active for the new year. |

The first quarter in 2010 will bring a couple of the not-yet-seen challenges front and center. The Poetry Picture Challenge will more than likely be one of the two competitive challenges but look for something new also. There are so many other challenges to choose from. Be sure to check in on Jan 1! |

Stay tuned... I have 2 forums open in the Challenges and Writing Exercise category for the new quarter that we haven't seen yet along with a familiar one, The Poetry Picture Challenge. I'm looking forward to seeing how The Poetry Word Challenge and Short Stories Inspired by Genre writing exercise goes.
